maiden voyage to Cowan's Gap State Park, PA

Our little slice!

Middle of the lake in Perfect!

Trying to figure out how to row with one oar longer than the other! Spent a lot of time going nowhere!

Breakfast on a griddle! I learned how to cook with gas. John learned that I can over easy.

Thinking about walking back to the campsite?

Mom loved the renovations. She says she wants to go camping! I think she may be up to it#

Kielbasa on the campfire! Never tasted better!

One pissed off dog# he knows we're leaving him! He wouldn't even say goodbye!

maiden voyage!

So the daughter-in-law and Baby Binky have come to help. Unfortunately, once the flour was changed up, we thought it was safe to let the midget on the ground. Just like at home, she went straight for the door. She likes to yell at the birds (or neighbors, not real sure which). She also likes to bang on the door like a minute inmate screaming "let me out!" Well that's exactly what she was doing when she fell face forward onto the curb! Yes my heart stopped, fortunately she's a strong little thing with a pretty soft head.

The son cut in around the toilet for me! Looked like it may require math, or a pencil. Either way, I was incapable!

So she's done!

Ready for her first trip as a Glamper!

Now that ain't no hunting cabin!

laying floor

Soo! We found out yesterday that the 2 cases of Winterwood vinyl flooring were not even close to enough to cover the floors. Unfortunately, they were online orders and would take 10-14 days to get more! We're going on our maiden voyage in 6 days!

Soo! Back to home depot with the Winterwood, in comes Country Pine. It's pretty, I like it more after setting on the ground.
After many hours of laying floor, I met this corner! I'm not sure why I was so blown by it? I'm mean eventually I had to get to it, right? So began the barrage of playing texts to the son. And who should appear, just in the nick of time? UNCLE NELSON!

He did try to explain what he was doing so I could do the other side! Sounded like Korean to me.He actually used 2 rulers and a pencil! He must of recognised the full glaze in my eyes. Me+ math= instant headache! So outta of the kindness of his heart, he did the other side. And grew took the toilet out, making it easier to do the bathroom!
Now I can spray paint the toilet! Poor John spent the past 2 days painting the tub and sink with the most noxious substance known to man! Really feel sorry for his patients tomorrow!

We've got doors!

We've got doors!

And drawer fronts!

And closets!
And thanks to plenty of John's elbow grease, the tubs ready to be painted!
Now to finish the curtains!

child labor

So,   we're still painting. John thinks we should have not tinted the primer and also bought the paint with primer included. It's probably gonna take 2-3 coats. According to everything I've read about painting a rv, that's about right. The reason I wanted the primer tinted is because I have some sort of ocd, that allows me to see every spot, all over my house, that doesn't have adequate coverage. Believe me when I say a small spot on the ceiling has kept me up, laughing at me!

So, yes that is my 4 year old granddaughter, Bitty painting! I am so not above child labor!

She also helped Papa John. He didn't know he'd gotten paint on his jeans. Yes, the paint did come from Bitty's paint job! Think he noticed?

Yes it all came off in the tub!
